great mental health dayFriday 28 January marks London's first Great Mental Health Day. It's a day to encourage Londoners to talk about mental health, to understand that it's okay to ask for help, and to learn more about the local support available - such as our Keeping Well service for North West London health and social care staff.

We recorded a short video explaining how our service can offer help and support - watch below!

Organised by London’s councils, with health and community organisations, and supported by the Mayor of London and the NHS, read more about Great Mental Health Day 2022

Taking place primarily online, activities will include meditation and yoga sessions, panel discussions, as well as local drop-in and coffee mornings to allow people to connect with each other.

Dr Chloe Schneider, Keeping Well Clinical Lead says: "We were one of the first staff resilience hubs to be set up in England as an immediate response to the pandemic, which has brought about considerable challenges and stresses to health and care professionals.

Health and Social care staff have been uniquely impacted by the events of the past few years and many have faced considerable challenges, such as working longer hours, seeing friends and colleagues becoming unwell or dying, going through the process of being redeployed etc.  These experiences are very likely to have impacted on peoples level of stress, mood and overall wellbeing."

Since launching in June 2020, we have helped support over 2,500 individuals with their wellbeing.

We are here to provide a confidential listening ear over live chat, phone or email. Staff can also self-refer and will be contacted by our wellbeing professionals who can offer a flexible and rapid psychological assessment, brief advice and emotional support, signposting and onward referral.
