Youth Mental Health Day took place this week (7 September). The day aims to encourage young people, and those who support them, to understand their mental health and how to protect it.

The Covid-19 pandemic has made things harder with 66% of 13-19 year olds reporting that they feel alone ‘some of the time’ or ‘often’, and 45% saying that life in the UK will be worse for their future as a result of the pandemic (Mental Health Foundation, 2021).

As a parent, guardian or carer working in the NHS, health and social care you might have some worries or concerns about your child's health and wellbeing. Visit our dedicated children, young people and families self-help category for more resources.
