SERV_KW_2541_Keeping Well NWL_Poster_A4_ChristmasHours.jpgOur Keeping Well (NWL) service is here to provide wellbeing and psychological support to all NHS staff, volunteers and those providing care to others in the community (including in residential homes) in North West London, as well as London Ambulance Service. The health and wellbeing offers are completely free and confidential.

Staff will continue to be able to contact the Keeping Well NWL Staff Support Hub as usual (including the online chat, request a call back, and use the self-referral form) Monday – Friday 9am to 5pm including the Christmas and New Year bank holidays. We are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, please call the Samaritans on 116 123 for urgent free support if you need it.

  • Employer support: Staff can also find support via their organisations. Our Keeping Well Academy has a list of contacts and resources by healthcare provider and profession here

Out of hours support and crisis lines

There are a number of support lines set up to provide rapid access to assessment and support services.

  • Samaritans (24 hours, confidentially): 116 123 They have a dedicated number for healthcare staff 0800 069 6222 7am to 11pm, 7 days a week. Alternatively, you can text FRONTLINE to 85258 for support 24/7 via text.
  • Saneline (6pm to 11pm): 0845 767 8000

In an emergency call 999 or visit A&E. Contact your GP by phone if you need immediate help. Outside of surgery hours you can call NHS Director for more guidance on 111.
